Explore the majestic temples of Bangkok, immerse in the vibrant street life of Chatuchak Market, and cruise along the Chao Phraya River for a glimpse into the soul of Thailand's capital city.
Airplane Graveyard is something that is unique and maybe a bit weird as you see multiple wrecked airplanes in the middle of Bangkok. Not many people visit this place but it is an experience unlike any. The most interesting thing about this place is that a lot of these planes are inhabited by the poor locals. You can visit this site by paying $5-6 and even visit the locals’ airplane houses for an additional $5. The best way to reach here is by taking a ferry from the MRT station Phetchaburi.
Rod Fai Train market
This unique market only opens during the weekends from Thursday to Sunday, starting at 5pm and running through the midnight. If you are looking for authentic Thai food then this is the place to be, without a doubt. Moreover, you can also enjoy a beer or two at the unique bars made out of shipping containers, placed on top of each other.
Lumphini Park
Lumphini Park is one place that is out there in the open but still does not attract too many tourists. The park around a lake is an ideal place to go running or walking, especially during the morning hours. Post running the 2.5km long fitness trail, you can sit by the quaint lake and maybe even spend some time doing Yoga. For tourists staying in Pathun Wan District, you can literally run to the park. For others, you can reach the park by using MRT.
